The FW2509 is designed for use with Maple Armor detector heads or equivalent and is intended to provide occupant notification in fire events within the protected space. It meets the needs of dwelling unit applications. The FW2509 can produce multiple tone patterns including temporal 3, temporal 4, continuous, 20bpm, 60bpm and 120bpm required by NFPA 72 for commercial and residential applications.7 levels of sound outputs are selectable.

The FW2509 can be commanded by the Fire Alarm Control Panel. The panel can command an individual FW2509, or a group of FW2509 by pre-programming. FW2509 does not take address on SLC.
